Apollo (アポロ, Aporo?, Apollo) is a cranky eagle villager in the Animal Crossing series. Apollo is a bald eagle, specifically, the national bird of the United States of America, hence his July 4th birthday (Independence Day in the United States). Apollo's name is probably a reference to Apollo 11, the first manned mission to land on the moon. Its lunar module, LM-5, used the callsign "Eagle", and a bald eagle also appears on the mission patch. He appears on the album cover for Soulful K.K..
