The Darner Dragonfly, Anax parthenope, is a fairly common flying bug found between 8am and 5pm, between the months of June and August. It can be sold for 200 Bells.

"The heads and thoraxes of darner dragonflies are colored a lovely yellow green. The males have a light-blue spot on their bellies, which is not a trait the females share. Darner dragonflies can usually be seen flying around bodies of water such as lakes or ponds."
In real life[]
The Lesser Emperor is a species of dragonfly found in much of southern and central Europe including most Mediterranean islands, across Asia to Japan and China, and north Africa. It has also been spotted on the Canary islands and the Madeira archipelago.
South of its range, the Lesser Emperor can be on the wing in March. It is most commonly seen from June to September but can still be around in November. They are often seen patrolling around ponds, lakes and other still water. After mating, the pairs stay in tandem and egg-laying usually occurs whilst still in tandem. Eggs are inserted into plants or in mud and hatch out in two months. Larval development takes two years.
