Father's Day is a holiday in Animal Crossing: New Leaf on every third Sunday of June (excluding Spain and Italy, who have it on March 19th). On this day, the player receives a letter from their father with a red carnation attached as a present. If a red carnation is planted alongside a pink carnation received from the player's mother on Mother's Day, there is a chance that a white carnation will grow nearby. The red carnation may also be placed in the player's house to earn extra points from the Happy Home Academy during the month of June.
