Shampoodle is a salon located above the Able Sisters store. It is owned by Harriet, and allows the player to customise their character via hairstyle and colour, coloured contact lenses, and makeup which allows the player to wear a mask of their Mii. The player can only change one aspect of their physical appearance each day, as Harriet will insist that changing too much at once would be too dramatic, and make the player character 'unrecognisable'.
To change their appearance, the player sits in front of an oversized styling machine. Harriet will then give them the option of changing hair, contacts, or makeup.
Changing hairstyle costs 3,000 Bells, and the player's hairstyle is decided through a series of questions to determine the players' personality, much like the questions which decide the player's face at the beginning of the game. The choice of hair colour is far more direct, with the player being allowed to choose the colour themselves from a wide selection of options, with both natural and unnatural colours in various shades. Getting a hairstyle at Shampoodle will also get rid of Bedhead, which is necessary to partake in Gracie's Fashion Checks.
Getting colour contacts follows a similar format, with the player being given a general guide to choose a colour, much like how they choose their hair colour. This service costs 3,000 Bells.
Getting make up costs 3,000 Bells, and allows the player to choose a Mii to make a mask of, which they can put on or remove at any time by tapping the Mii icon in the custom design menu.
Shampoodle is unlocked by spending a total of 10,000 Bells between Able Sisters and Kicks.
